We are looking for a dedicated Employee Relations Specialist to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. This long-term contract position will focus on supporting organizational development and employee relations initiatives. You will play a key role in managing learning programs, maintaining accurate records, and fostering effective team collaboration within a dynamic and matrixed organizational structure.
Responsibilities:
• Administer the organization's Learning Management System, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing learning programs.
• Coordinate mandatory and elective learning initiatives, including live events and online courses.
• Maintain detailed records of learning data and evaluations to support continuous improvement.
• Provide operational support for organizational design initiatives, including documentation and rollout of related materials.
• Facilitate activities that enhance team effectiveness and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with People & Culture Leads, Learning and Development teams, and facilitators across various regions.
• Ensure compliance with local employment laws and standards in all employee relations activities.
• Conduct employee relations investigations and provide recommendations to address concerns.
• Manage performance management processes and support initiatives to drive employee engagement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality customer service and administrative support.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in employee relations or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of local employment laws and practices.
• Proven experience in conducting employee relations investigations and resolving workplace issues.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and delivering educational events.
• Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively coordinate across teams and regions.
• Ability to work within a matrixed organizational structure, managing relationships across functions and time zones.
