The Vice President of Global Supply Chain leads the company’s global sourcing and procurement strategy, driving cost competitiveness, supply continuity, supplier partnerships, and operational excellence across a global manufacturing footprint. This role provides strategic leadership to the global sourcing organization, including two Global Directors of Sourcing and commodity management teams.
Partnering closely with Global Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Logistics, and Commercial teams, the VP develops and executes sourcing strategies that strengthen supply chain resilience, support product innovation, and align with long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute global sourcing and supply chain strategy aligned with operational and financial goals
- Lead long-term commodity and supplier strategies focused on total acquisition cost, innovation, and risk mitigation
- Drive strategic sourcing, make vs. buy decisions, supplier consolidation, and cost-reduction initiatives
- Lead and develop global sourcing leaders and teams; establish performance metrics and accountability
- Oversee executive supplier relationships, negotiations, and competitive bidding processes
- Strengthen supply chain resilience through supplier diversification, nearshoring/reshoring, and hedging strategies
- Partner cross-functionally to support manufacturing efficiency, cost performance, and product development
- Establish KPIs, oversee global spend analytics, and lead Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
- 15+ years of progressive global supply chain and procurement leadership experience
- Proven success leading global sourcing strategy within a manufacturing environment
- Strong financial, analytical, and negotiation expertise
- Deep experience with supplier partnerships, risk management, and ERP/analytics tools
Travel: 30–50% global
Work Environment: Office-based with regular interaction at manufacturing sites and supplier locations
