Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Labor Hand to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various construction projects in Barstow tX , assisting with site preparation, material handling, and general labor tasks to ensure smooth operations. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute directly to the successful completion of projects across diverse settings. Responsibilities
- Assist with site setup, including unloading materials and organizing tools and equipment
- Support skilled trades by handling hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to aid in project execution
- Perform tasks such as framing, drywall installation, roofing, concrete finishing, masonry, and flooring installation
- Conduct basic inspections of work sites to ensure safety standards and quality control are maintained
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines
- Support specialized tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, glass installation, cabinet installation, or restoration projects when required
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction environments
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with construction site safety procedures and inspection protocols
- Knowledge of construction management practices and estimating processes is a plus
- Skills in concrete forming, plastering, stucco application, or masonry work are desirable
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques for carpentry or trim carpentry projects
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Basic understanding of electrical systems or plumbing is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina with the capability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
