What You’ll Need
- U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) endorsed as Mate of Towing Vessels or Mate of vessels >200 GRT with completed TOAR
- Valid Radar Observer (unlimited) endorsement
- Valid TWIC issued by TSA
- Ability to comply with Towing Safety Management System (TSMS) and all applicable regulations
- Ability to report unsafe conditions and implement stop work responsibility
- Physical ability to perform vessel duties and stand watch
