What You’ll Need
- Experience maintaining mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers & chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- Ability to perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills
- Attention to detail and ability to request relevant parts for repairs
- Commitment to safety in the workplace
- May require passing behavioral assessments, references, criminal record checks, and drug testing
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Superior troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
- Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ability to collaborate with maintenance, operations, and production staff
