Forklift Operator
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience handling pipe (both carbon and stainless steel) a plus
- Experience on a heavy duty forklift (25000+ pounds)
- Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
- Good skills in reading, writing, and math
- Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Check number of units against packing slips
- Ability to identify damaged pipe during Shipping / Receiving procedures
- Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Pre-stage pipe for next day shipping schedule when time permits
- Perform forklift inspections according to Forklift Checklist
- Perform yard count for cycle counts
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, sweep, dust and mop. Police yard and clean prior to end of shift.
- Knowledge of pipe print to distinguish different sized pipe
- Comply and ensure safety and company policies and procedures are followed
- Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
