Job Summary
Slate Rock FR is hiring an experienced Retail Sales Associate with a background in workwear, western wear, or flame-resistant (FR) clothing. This role is ideal for someone who understands durable apparel, can guide customers on fit and function, and is comfortable recommending gear based on job requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Assist customers in selecting FR apparel and workwear based on jobsite needs and safety requirements
- Recommend garments based on durability, fit, and performance features
- Answer questions about product availability, sizing, and materials
- Operate an iPad-based POS system (cash and credit transactions)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor
- Receive, tag, and stock incoming inventory
- Work closely with the Store Manager on daily operations and priorities
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of retail experience in workwear, western wear, safety apparel, or similar
- Familiarity with FR clothing, PPE, or industrial apparel strongly preferred
- Strong customer service skills and ability to build trust with working professionals
- Knowledge of sizing, fit, and durable apparel brands/materials
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced retail environment
- Dependable and able to work Monday–Friday, 7 AM–7 PM and available weekends 10AM- 2PM
