GMA Technical is partnering with a highly respected global engineering and industrial services organisation to appoint an experienced General Manager to lead one of its key operations in West Texas.

The Opportunity

As General Manager, you will have full accountability for commercial, technical, manufacturing and operational performance, leading an established team through a period of growth, transformation and continuous improvement.

You will play a pivotal role in strengthening operational capability, developing high-performing teams and ensuring the business is positioned to support its ambitious growth objectives.

This is a highly visible leadership position requiring a balance of strategic thinking, operational excellence and people-focused leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership across manufacturing, repair, stores, dispatch and commercial support functions.
Build, develop and inspire high-performing Commercial, Technical and Operational teams.
Create a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
Drive operational excellence through Lean principles, process optimisation and data-driven decision-making.
Take ownership of business performance including P&L, budgets, profitability, KPIs and operational metrics.
Develop organisational capability through coaching, mentoring, succession planning and talent development.
Support continued business growth by ensuring operational capacity and capability align with commercial objectives.
Strengthen customer relationships through world-class service delivery, quality and operational performance.
Champion Health & Safety, quality standards, ISO compliance and ethical business practices.
Work collaboratively with global and regional stakeholders to deliver strategic business objectives.

About You

We are seeking a transformational leader who combines strong operational expertise with the ability to inspire, develop and empower people.

You will ideally bring:

A Bachelor's Degree or MBA in Business, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
5–10 years' senior leadership experience within manufacturing, engineering, rotating equipment or industrial service environments.
Proven experience managing operational performance, P&L, budgets and business KPIs.
Strong ERP systems experience.
Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
A demonstrated track record of improving performance while building engaged, high-performing teams.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively with technical, operational and commercial stakeholders.
Exceptional communication, influencing and leadership skills.
A genuine passion for developing people and creating a culture of excellence.
