Basic Purpose Of Position
Provide secretarial, administrative, and clerical support to the Claims Administration Department within the Office of the General Counsel. This position requires an individual who maintains confidentiality, exhibits initiative and the ability to work independently.

Major Responsibilities And Duties
DESCRIPTION OF TASK
Provide administrative, secretarial, clerical, research, and reporting services. Responsible for drafting and typing correspondence, completing claim forms and filing them, opening and maintaining files, conducting research, assembling materials for reports and creating reports, working with the Department’s Matter Management system, working with time and payroll records, ordering office supplies and equipment.
Draft correspondence, reports, and other documents independently provided that appropriate training and instruction has been given.
Assist Claims Administrator in carrying out their obligations and duties.
Assist in preparing and filing documents related to claims department matters.
Work cooperatively with all members of the Office of General Counsel, including other secretarial and clerical staff.
Perform Other Related Duties As Required And Assigned.

EDUCATION/TRAINING
Required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Associates Degree, OR at least 3 years work experience in a related field.
- Training in typing and transcribing.
- Training in Microsoft Office applications.
- Training in internet research.
Preferred
- Law firm or corporate legal department experience.
