Assistant Vice President, Healthcare Operations & Consulting (Revenue Cycle / HIM)
Are you a senior healthcare leader with deep expertise in HIM, revenue cycle, and operational strategy?
A nationally recognized healthcare consulting organization is seeking a Vice President, Healthcare Operations & Consulting to drive enterprise-level initiatives across coding, CDI, compliance, and revenue integrity.
This is a high-impact leadership role with direct exposure to executive stakeholders and the opportunity to shape operational strategy across multiple client engagements nationwide.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and scale multi-service healthcare consulting operations across:
- Health Information Management (HIM)
- Revenue Cycle
- Coding & CDI
- Audit & Compliance
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite leadership at hospitals and health systems
- Drive operational strategy, performance metrics, and delivery excellence
- Oversee complex client engagements ensuring quality, compliance, and financial outcomes
- Lead revenue integrity initiatives, including DRG optimization and regulatory alignment
- Build and mentor high-performing teams across directors, managers, and consultants
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and innovation strategies
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support growth and expansion
What We’re Looking For
- 12+ years of leadership experience in:
- Healthcare operations
- HIM / Revenue Cycle
- Consulting or health system environments
- Deep expertise in:
- Coding, CDI, audit, and compliance
- CMS, OIG, and payer regulations
- Inpatient, outpatient, and professional billing
- Proven experience leading large-scale or enterprise consulting engagements
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders
- Advanced credentials (RHIA, CCS, CPC, etc.) highly preferred
- Master’s degree strongly preferred
