This is an in-person role, with time split between Markarian’s offices in the Flatiron and Garment Districts of New York City.
We are seeking an experienced Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator manages inventory, operations, and logistics across our brand’s selling platforms. We are a fast paced, dedicated team and are looking for a motivated, independent thinker who is detail oriented, organized and analytical.
This position will report directly to the company’s Business Manager and Wholesale Sales Director, however tasks may be assigned by the founder and all other department managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Logistics
- Creating labels, commercial invoices, scheduling pickups for all outgoing shipments
- Packing finished goods for wholesale, ecommerce, direct and bridal orders per necessary requirements (internal brand packing guidelines or wholesale account packing guidelines)
- Ensuring goods are successfully handed off to routing company
- Tracking delivery
- Troubleshooting issues with shipments that are delayed/held up across all departments and ensuring successful resolution/delivery of goods
Finished Goods Inventory Tracking
- Coordinate with ecommerce, direct sales, production and marketing teams to maintain accurate inventory records
- Ensuring accurate inventory across ecommerce, WS stock, marketplace stock, WS order allocations
- Manage processing of any product returns, re-orders or inventory swaps for ecommerce, wholesale and bridal orders
- Checking Shopify, marketplace portals, ApparelMagic and physical offices to ensure accuracy between physical stock and online data sources
Wholesale Operations & Logistics
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to facilitate timely processing and shipment of orders for wholesale and bridal accounts
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to maintain product library and historical style records (style number and SKU assignments, fabric information, product descriptions, etc.)
- Oversee billing and invoicing for all wholesale and bridal orders (order confirmations, deposits, balance payments, transmissions to third party factor, follow up for delinquent accounts, etc.)
- Oversee EDI compliance for department store wholesale accounts (SKU/UPC assignment and tracking, proper ticketing and packing requirements, processing shipments and invoices via third party EDI processor, etc.)
- Manage international shipping compliance for international wholesale accounts
- Support the Wholesale Sales Director in account management for all wholesale and bridal accounts, along with occasional support for ecommerce and direct customers
- Track progress of all wholesale and bridal account orders, ensuring shipping deadlines are met
Ecommerce/Marketplace Sales Support
- Fulfilling ecom, direct, marketplace orders
- Ensure accurate inventory across all sales platforms
Sample and Repairs Tracking
- Overseeing sample tracking logs and ensuring accuracy across showroom, production, and wholesale pulls
- Coordinate with marketing, PR, and production teams on sample requests for wholesale accounts
- Overseeing repairs tracking log and ensuring it’s accurate and up to date across showroom, production, and wholesale
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from a top U.S. university
- 2+ years’ experience in an operations or logistics position
- Extremely detail oriented, fastidious record-keeper, very organized
- Strong computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 20 lbs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required (knowledge of Excel is a must – VLOOKUP,
- Pivot tables, etc.)
- Experience with 3PL warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus
- Knowledge of Apparel Magic, RLM or Blue Cherry ERP systems a plus
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics and Shopify a plus
- Knowledge of Quickbooks systems a plus
- Hands on with can-do attitude
- Adept at multitasking
