Data Engineer
Location: Midland, TX (Onsite)
Salary: $110,000-$130,000 + Bonus
Our client is seeking a talented Data Engineer to play a key role in building and scaling cutting-edge IoT data solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering, cloud platforms, and real-world operational systems, enabling smarter decision-making through high-quality data.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and developing robust data pipelines for IoT environments using Azure technologies
- Enabling both real-time streaming and batch data processing for telemetry and operational events
- Supporting IoT device lifecycle activities including onboarding, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Enhancing data quality, reliability, and observability across platforms
- Building and maintaining monitoring dashboards and alerting systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across operations, IT, and analytics
- Driving improvements in data architecture, scalability, and system resilience
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ Years experience
- Experience working with Azure services (e.g., IoT Hub, Event Hubs, Data Lake)
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, streaming frameworks, and ingestion patterns
- Familiarity with Linux environments and monitoring tools such as Grafana
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize data systems in production environments
- Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Confident communicator who can collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
