Duties
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed
- Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to enhance their experience
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Uphold food safety standards and restaurant cleanliness to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in food service or restaurant settings preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and friendly demeanor
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and organizational skills to manage reservations and guest flow effectively
- Understanding of food safety protocols and restaurant operations to support smooth service delivery
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
