Marine Welders - 8/4 Rotation - Cairo, IL
American Commercial Barge Line is seeking experienced Marine Welders to join their Cairo, IL team. These professionals will repair and maintain a fleet of barges and vessels, performing both above and below water welding. Ideal candidates are skilled in stick welding, physically fit, and ready to work a unique rotation schedule on the inland waterways.

What You’ll Need
- Must live within 50 miles (1 hour) of ACBL Cairo Fleet
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to acquire a Driver’s License
- Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic understanding of navigation and safety procedures
- Positive attitude and adaptability to a unique work schedule
- Ability to acquire a TWIC
- Stick Weld proficiency is required
- Ability to read repair orders and prioritize repairs is desired
- Must be able to pass ACBL Physical Demands Test and drug screen
What Will Make You Stand Out
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ Years of experience welding in a shipyard or industrial environment
