Marine Welders - 8/4 Rotation - Cairo, IL

American Commercial Barge Line is seeking experienced Marine Welders to join their Cairo, IL team. These professionals will repair and maintain a fleet of barges and vessels, performing both above and below water welding. Ideal candidates are skilled in stick welding, physically fit, and ready to work a unique rotation schedule on the inland waterways.

What You’ll Need

Must live within 50 miles (1 hour) of ACBL Cairo Fleet
Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to acquire a Driver’s License
Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Basic understanding of navigation and safety procedures
Positive attitude and adaptability to a unique work schedule
Ability to acquire a TWIC
Stick Weld proficiency is required
Ability to read repair orders and prioritize repairs is desired
Must be able to pass ACBL Physical Demands Test and drug screen

What Will Make You Stand Out

High School Diploma or GED
3+ Years of experience welding in a shipyard or industrial environment
