This 1099 consultant supports the Commercial organization across Direct to Patient (DTP) and B2B through ad‑hoc analytics, exploratory Salesforce reporting, and CRM data model discovery, operating within established Commercial Analytics governance.
- DTP: Provides rapid, operational insight via ad‑hoc analysis and Salesforce reporting.
- B2B: Leads CRM discovery, requirements definition, and early design to support a scalable Salesforce implementation in partnership with an external consultancy.
This role does not own official reporting, KPI definitions, or final system architecture.
Key Responsibilities
DTP – Analytics & Salesforce Reporting
- Deliver adhoc and deep‑ dive‑ analysis on sales performance, funnels, activity, and lead flow
- Build exploratory and short term‑ Salesforce reports and dashboards for operational use
- Document the current DTP Salesforce data model; identify data gaps and improvement opportunities
- Partner with Commercial Analytics to transition recurring or critical reporting into governed environments
B2B – CRM Discovery & Implementation Leadership
- Serve as Commercial lead for the Salesforce B2B implementation, partnering with an external consultancy
- Translate B2B sales processes into validated Salesforce requirements
- Define and validate the B2B CRM data model and proposed configuration approach
- Support implementation planning, design reviews, UAT preparation, and go l‑ive readiness
- Ensure alignment with Commercial Analytics governance and support post go‑ live‑ handoff to IT and Commercial Enablement
Stakeholder & Governance Expectations
- Act as an embedded analytics and CRM partner to DTP and B2B Sales leadership
- Operate exclusively within approved data sources, definitions, and governance standards
- Ensure Salesforce reporting remains exploratory/operational and non‑authoritative
- Escalate data or system design decisions to appropriate owners
- Avoid parallel reporting, shadow systems, or unmanaged CRM configurations
Skills & Experience
- 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- 3-5 years’ strong Salesforce CRM data structure and reporting experience
- CRM requirements definition and design
- CRM data model documentation and assessment capability
- Advanced analytics skills (SQL preferred; strong Excel required)
- Experience in governed analytics environments
- Strong communication, documentation, and matrix organization‑ effectiveness
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar) or equivalent education and experience.
