Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician
Location: Plains, TX / Midland, TX / Tarzan, TX / Pecos, TX

About the Role: A growing clean energy company is seeking an O&M Technician to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of power generation equipment at field facilities across West Texas. The role splits equally between field operations and hands-on equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, inspect, and monitor power plant equipment including reciprocating engines, natural gas fuel systems, transformers, and electrical equipment
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, spark plug changes, tuning, and overheads on natural gas reciprocating engines, transformers, reclosers, switchgear, batteries, natural gas regulators, and PLC controllers
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to maintain site performance metrics
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for coordinating field work
- Complete Job Hazard Analyses and determine appropriate PPE for assigned tasks
- Maintain detailed inspection records, test results, and work logs
- Participate in on-call rotation for incident response
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and OEM training requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in power generation or oil & gas (MTU, Jenbacher, or CAT generator experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of natural gas engines, turbines, diesel engines, and battery systems
- Ability to work a 2-week on / 2-week off rotational schedule with full availability during on-shift periods
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in extreme outdoor conditions
- Technical certification or degree in a related field preferred
