Job Description:
A Fortune 500 company is seeking an Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team. This role offers a strong foundation for someone looking to build experience in technical accounting and financial reporting at a well established, publicly traded organization. You will be involved in quarterly and annual reporting processes and support accounting research across a variety of technical topics and transactions.
The position provides meaningful exposure to public company reporting requirements, cross functional collaboration across the finance organization, and the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of how a large public company navigates complex accounting and regulatory standards. The team is collaborative and offers strong mentorship for someone eager to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
• Support quarterly and annual reporting processes and related deliverables
• Prepare footnote support files, disclosure checklists, and accounting memos
• Partner cross functionally with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury, and Tax teams
• Support internal and external audit requests and internal control documentation
• Assist with accounting research for complex transactions and new accounting standards
• Monitor peer filings and earnings releases to provide insights to leadership
• Support special projects and ad hoc reporting needs
This is a hybrid position requiring four days per week in the NYC office.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred or in progress
• 0 to 2 years of public accounting or relevant experience preferred
• Big 4 experience preferred
